			Community: We believe that: the Kodiak Island Community must be informed of existing and developing technological opportunities. our community will require demonstrations of the potential applications of existing technologies, and must have the resources available to electronically publish local cultural information. our community must share local resources to link Kodiak to the global community.
			Equity: We believe that: all members of Kodiak Island communities must have access to information technologies in order to maintain equity with the world. training is vital to the use of technology and should be available to all members of our community. all members of our island community should have unrestricted access to global information networks, i.e. Internet. all people of our Kodiak Island community should have unrestricted access to appropriate technology.
			Ethics: We believe that: respect, tolerance and honesty are as critical in the use of technology as skills needed to use technology. the community can and must develop and implement standards for ethical use of technology. each technology user is personally accountable for his/her own ethical behavior. all technology users need to take a leadership role in upholding ethical standards.
			Learning: We believe that: learning is a continuous process for students, teachers, and community, and that technology enhances learning by empowering and motivating learners. Technology should be integrated into all areas of the curriculum. to maximize learning, students must acquire specific technology skills. Educators and community members must be provided opportunities for ongoing, relevant training in current technologies.
