Intro Auto Technology
10-12 grade; Offered as a year-long course
Prerequisites: none
This course introduces the field of auto technology to students who want to learn about buying and maintaining their own vehicle and/or students who are thinking about a career related to auto technology. The students will learn about career opportunities, design and manufacturing, maintenance, buying, safety, tools and equipment, systems, internal combustion engines, and minor mechanical and body repair. The course is divided into classroom theory and hands-on practice.

Advanced Auto Technology
11-12 grade; Offered as a year-long course
Prerequisites: Intro Auto Technology, Course fee is $25
This course is designed for auto enthusiasts and students preparing for a related career. Repeat of topics from Introduction to Auto Technology, but in greater depth. Additionally, students will apply their knowledge and skills towards numerous hands-on projects in a workplace type atmosphere. Students will learn about performance products and auto restoration.

Personal Finance: 10-12 grade; Offered first or second semester Prerequisites: none This is a survival skills class designed to prepare students for the economic issues they will encounter throughout life. Students will make various financial decisions to determine their own investment goals. Included topics will be buying a car, insurance, obtaining loans, consumer spending, budgeting, and personal money management skills including investments.
