Bears 27 - Stars 47 in Championship Game
From the KMXT newsroom: " For the second year in a row the Kodiak High School Bears qualified for the state small schools football championships, and for the second year in a row, the Bears fell to the Soldotna Stars. This year the Stars were a 10-and-oh juggernaut, and quite possibly the best football team in the state, but the Bears played them close, and gave them more game than they expected. But in the end, Soldotna won 47-to-27." Read the rest of the story from the KMXT Sports Desk.

With six minutes on the clock the Kardinals scored on a 30-yard pass but after a time out to consider its options, chose to try for a two-point conversion instead of a game-tying kick.
