Mrs. Thomas' Biography: I was born and raised in the little town of Shelton, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. Upon my high school graduation in 1990, I traveled Europe then attended Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska. I had intended to just get the "Alaska" experience and move back to Washington. However, I fell in love with the beautiful landscape and the friendly people and quickly decided to make Alaska my home. My first teaching position was for the Lower Kuskokwim School District. I spent two years teaching in the lovely village of Quinhagak, Alaska. After the birth of my second daughter I took a position here in Kodiak. My husband and I are delighted to make Kodiak our home.
