-Comprehend literal/inferred meaning from text
-Reads Grade Level Material Accurately, Fluently, & w/Expression
-Summarizes events fict/nonfiction
-Demonstrates understanding of main idea
-Explains the characteristics of the 4 major genres of fiction
-Identifies & describes story elements of fiction
-Differentiates b/t fact & opinion
-Express opinion about text & supports with evidence
-Identifies themes & connects them with other experiences
-Follows written directions

These assessments have been offered by KIBSD's 4th Grade Teachers as optional assessments for teachers of 4th grade. To Assess: -Uses the writing process to produce a two-paragraph composition (Each of these Rubrics includes a Scoring Guide that needs to be modified to match Alaska Academic Standard Scoring Key (on report card))
-Writing reflects consideration of audience and purpose
-Proofreads for accurate use of conventions/revises writing for clarity
-Documents reference sources
-Uses resources when writing
-Spells core grade level words accurately
-Writes legibly in cursive (no assessment) |
